It is not enough today

Nor shall it ever be

But let our voices sound aloud

In acknowledgment of Thee

 

May Your children bring You glory

And all creation sing Your praise

With hearts bowed down before You

May we honor the Ancient of Days

 

For blessed are those who know You

Not as the God of Heaven out there

But as a close, delightful Daddy

Who truly loves and cares

 

And happy beyond measure

Are the children who know You as such

Who have found in You great pleasure

And a treasure that is so much

 

So on this day to honor fathers,

O Holy Father God most true,

May Your children lovingly rejoice and say

“Happy Father’s Day” to You
